Rohto Cool Eye Drops
Rohto Cool (in the manufacturer's range: Cool Relief Cooling Eye Drops) are OTC eye drops, that is, a medicinal product available without a prescription, in a 13 ml (0.4 fl oz) pack with a precise snap-closure dispenser. They contain two active substances, and the menthol among the excipients is responsible for the cooling sensation on application.

- Naphazoline Hydrochloride 0.012% (a lower concentration than in the Max Strength version, 0.03%)
- Polysorbate 80 0.2%
Excipients
Alcohol (0.1%), Benzalkonium Chloride, Boric Acid, Chlorobutanol, Edetate Disodium, Menthol, Purified Water, Sodium Borate. The formula contains benzalkonium chloride (BAK), a preservative which, with frequent and prolonged use, can be a source of irritation of the surface of the eye.
How to use
Instil 1–2 drops into the eye or eyes, up to four times a day. Remove contact lenses before application. To open, press the cap and twist; to close, snap it shut tightly.
Warnings
Medicinal product available without a prescription. For use in the eye only. Do not use in narrow-angle glaucoma without a doctor's advice. Excessive use of vasoconstrictor preparations may worsen eye redness. Remove contact lenses before application. Do not use if the solution has changed colour or become cloudy. Stop use and consult a doctor in the case of eye pain, changes in vision, persistent redness or irritation, or when symptoms worsen or last longer than 72 hours. Keep out of the reach of children.
