The scented version of Kanebo Suisai Beauty Clear Powder Wash N is an enzyme facial cleansing powder in single-use capsules of 0.4 g, 32 per pack. The formula is the same base as the plain white Powder Wash N — two enzymes and amino-acid cleansers — with one important difference: this version contains a fragrance, described on the pack as cherry blossom and white peach. It is the only product in the whole suisai Beauty Clear line that is not marked fragrance free. The pack — a milky translucent jar with a cherry-blossom motif — is what tells it apart from the plain white version.

Two enzymes and amino-acid cleansers

The core shared by the whole Beauty Clear line: protease breaks down protein soil — dead surface cells and the protein part of keratin plugs — while lipase breaks down sebum. The cleansing layer is built on Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate and Sodium Myristoyl Glutamate. Exfoliation is biochemical, without abrasive particles.

The fragrance — the only one in the line

The ingredient list names Parfum and the colourant Red 504. The other versions in the line — white N, Black, Gold, Green and Pink — all carry a „fragrance free” marking on the pack. This one does not, and that is its defining feature rather than an oversight.

Moisturising ingredients

The formula contains Ethyl Glucoside, Sodium Hyaluronate, Silk and Lactic Acid. It also contains the preservative Methylparaben and the antioxidant BHT.

How it differs from a gel or a foam

Enzymes in water-based products lose activity while still in the container. A powder keeps them dry and activates them only at the moment of lathering, and the individually sealed capsule cuts the contents off from moisture between one wash and the next.

How to use

Empty one capsule into the palm and lather thoroughly with a small amount of water or lukewarm water until a dense foam forms; a foaming net helps. Wash the face with the foam, then rinse thoroughly. Open the capsule from either of the two sealed ends. The manufacturer allows daily use and recommends adjusting the frequency to the condition of the skin.
