Doctor's Best High Potency Serrapeptase is a food supplement in the form of a vegan delayed-release capsule. One capsule contains 120,000 SPU, that is, serratiopeptidase activity units, in the form of the Serrapeptase enzyme. The capsule is made from Hypromellose and Gellan Gum, and inside it is the Serrateric blend. The pack contains 90 or 270 capsules, that is, 90 or 270 servings of one capsule each.
Key ingredients
Serrapeptase Enzyme
An enzyme derived from Serratia sp., in an amount of 120,000 SPU per capsule. No daily Reference Intake has been established for SPU.
Serrateric
A blend composed of Maltodextrin, Tricalcium Phosphate, Calcium Stearate, Microcrystalline Cellulose and Medium Chain Triglycerides. The brand uses it in the delayed-release capsule.
Calcium
Calcium in an amount of 35 mg per capsule, which is 3% of the daily Reference Intake. It comes from the Tricalcium Phosphate and Calcium Stearate contained in the Serrateric blend.
Delayed-release vegetarian capsule
Hypromellose, Gellan Gum and Purified Water. The manufacturer labels the product as vegan and free from genetically modified organisms (Non-GMO).
How to use
- Take 1 capsule a day.
- Take with at least 240 ml of water (8 oz), on an empty stomach, or as directed by a physician specialising in nutrition.
According to the manufacturer, people taking the product for the first time may start with a lower dose, namely Serrapeptase 40,000 SPU.
Warnings
- The product is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people taking anticoagulant medicines, or people with poor digestion.
- If nausea, vomiting or stomach complaints occur, stop use.
- Store in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children.
